2023年10月9日下午， 新加坡辅仁国际学校校长Mr Marcus Clayton，Ms Li Wei与总经理Ms Catherine Liang一行人员在广州市天河区教育局黄蓉主任与广州代表Mr Dicky Wu的陪同下首次走进华美学校。我校总校校长陈峰先生、英语与国际化课程总监陈晓英女士、教育教学保障部部长李峰先生、教学保障部部长助理石丽丽女士、国际教育交流专员杨贝女士等热情参与了接待。
此次接待活动包括校园参观和座谈会交流两部分。
新加坡辅仁国际学校建立于2000年，是在新加坡私立教育理事会(Committee for Private Education)注册的私立国际中学，华美学校中加高中项目于2003年获广东省教育厅与加拿大安大略省教育部批准成立。 双方负责人分别对学校办学情况、办学优势、课程体系、升学方向等方面进行了介绍，并就未来两校友好合作的可能性进行了初步的探讨。期待疫情后时代，华美与辅仁学校及来自世界各国的更多学校有更多的教育交流与合作。
A Warm Welcome to colleagues from Furen International School, Singapore
On October 9th, 2023, accompanied by Ms. Huang Rong, Tianhe School District, colleagues from Furen International School, Singapore visited HMIS. The delegates included Mr Marcus Clayton and Ms Li Wei, the Principals; and Ms Catherine Liang, the General Manager of Furen International School. Personnel from HMIS - Mr. Rocky Chen, the General Principal, Ms. Serene Chen, the Director of International Programs, Mr. Li Feng, the Director of Education and Teaching Assurance Department and Ms. June Yang， the International Exchange Specialist.
In addition to the visit to our Campus, an informal and open-minded conference was held and ideas were exchanged.
Furen International School, is a well-known Private international high school registered with the Committee for Private Education in Singapore, while HMIS is the first Provincial-level private K12 school in Guangdong province and it has established systematic China-based international education system to prepare students for entering colleges and universities in China and abroad. Furthermore, it is one of the first group of cooperative international high school approved by Guangdong Educational Department, along alongside the Ontario Ministry of Education, Canada. A detailed presentation on school features, curricula and university enrollment prospects were given by both sides. The possibility of future cooperation between the two schools was discussed as well.
We are looking forward to further communication and exchanges with Furen International School and more schools all over the world.
