The Second Day in UBC-EUL Summer Camp

With the sun raising his shoulder heavily over the horizon, we woke up at seven and embraced another completely new day. After having breakfast, we went to attend our class called "Sustainability" which is about the property of being sustainable.

Our group was assigned to prepare for our coming presentation concerning the importance as well as several examples of urban forests. We did take advantage of our cell phones and computers to search some relevant information of this topic and made a power point together as a form for presenting. According to our conclusion by analyzing a host of statistical data from the Internet, not only could the city forests promote absorbing the discharged carbon dioxide, but also they may contribute to the domain of regulating urban climate. To my surprise, group working is more efficient than working by individuals since there will be a diversity of creative ideas emerging as a consequence. That is why I pretty enjoyed the class today.

In the afternoon, the majority of us went to a stunning tourist attraction named "Queen Elizabeth Park", situated at the geographic centre of Vancouver, Canada. People would see the spectacular views of the park and the city there, mainly because there is the highest point in Vancouver at 152 meters above the sea level.

The park is so gorgeous that it is also a popular wedding venue.

Many of us preferred to find cool places to relax. To be frank, you will never know how amazingly picturesque the park is until you choose to ramble inside it. I cannot describe how I am intoxicated by the scenery!

Our free time was from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Within the duration, some people went to gym or went shopping inside the UBC campus whilst some others came back to the dormitory to do with a variety of personal things. At approximately 9:20 pm, the coastline faded into darkness as the nightfall came. Everything became quiet from then on and the awesome day was gradually over with it.
